102 years ago today, on October 25, 1923 (September 16, 1923 in the lunar calendar), the Kuomintang held a preparatory meeting for reorganization. The participants of the Kuomintang reorganization preparatory meeting took a group photo with Sun Yat-sen in the front row. On October 25, 1923, Sun Yat-sen entrusted Liao Zhongkai and Deng Zeru to hold a special meeting for the reorganization of the Kuomintang in Guangzhou to discuss the reorganization plan. About 100 cadres at all levels attended. On the 28th, Liao Zhongkai announced Sun Yat-sen's opinion at the meeting: Liao Zhongkai, Hu Hanmin, Lin Sen, Tan Pingshan, Deng Zeru, Yang Biankan, Chen Shuren, Sun Ke, Wu Tiecheng and other 9 were appointed as interim central executive members; Wang Jingwei, Li Dazhao, Xie Yingbo, Gu Yingfen, Xu Chongzhi as interim central executive members, formed an interim central executive committee, hired Bao Luoting as a consultant, and started to handle the reorganization of the Kuomintang. The meeting decided that the reorganization work includes two aspects: one is to correct the goal of struggle in ideology and develop the old Three People's Principles into the new Three People's Principles; the other is to revolutionize the organization, remove corrupt elements, absorb revolutionaries, and change the composition of party members. After many discussions, Sun Yat-sen and the representatives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China agreed that Communist Party members would join the Kuomintang as individuals to achieve bipartisan cooperation in order to ensure the rapid reform of the Kuomintang organization.
