On this day 114 years ago, April 27, 1911 (March 29, 1911), the Huanghuagang Uprising. Before the uprising, at 5:30 pm on April 27, 1911 (March 29, 1911), Huang Xing led more than 120 death squads to the Governor's Office of Guangdong and Guangzhou, launching the 10th armed uprising of the Tongmeng Association - the Guangzhou Uprising. After three months of planning and preparation, Huang Xing held a meeting of the coordinating department in Hong Kong on the 8th, set the time for the event in Guangzhou on the 13th, and planned to attack in 10 ways. Due to Wen Shengcai's assassination of Fu Qi, the Guangdong authorities strengthened their vigilance, and some of the funds and firearms did not arrive, so the original plan was forced to be postponed. On the 23rd, Huang Xing infiltrated Guangzhou and established the uprising headquarters. The Guangdong authorities had heard of the uprising, strengthened their defenses, and raided the revolutionaries, and the situation became increasingly unfavorable. On the evening of the 26th, Huang Xing called a meeting and hastily decided to rise up. The death squad broke into the Governor's Office, and the Governor Zhang Mingqi fled. After burning the Governor's Office, the rebels went head-to-head with Admiral Li Zhun's brigade outside Dongyuan Gate. The rebels fought bloody battles and ran east and west, but were eventually defeated due to a serious shortage of troops. After the failure of the uprising, Huang Xing fled back to Hong Kong injured, Yu Peilun, Fang Shengdong, Lin Juemin, etc. were hunted and killed, and 86 members of the Alliance who died were famous. The remains of 72 of them were buried in Honghuagang, eastern suburbs of Guangzhou, by Pan Dawei and others.
