254 years ago today, on January 5, 1771 (November 20, 1770 lunar calendar), the Mongolian Turghut Department returned to the Qing Dynasty under the leadership of Wobassi. During the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, the leaders of the Turghut Department of Moxi Mongolia and Orlek led their troops to leave the original pastoral land of Tarbahatai (now in the area of Tacheng, Xinjiang) and moved west to the lower Volga River, adjacent to Tsarist Russia in the north. At first, Tsarist Russia exchanged market with it, and the power of the later Turghut Department gradually declined, and was often controlled and oppressed by Tsarist Russia. Since the Shunzhi period, they have continuously sent people to Beijing to "pay tribute". During the reign of Kangxi, the Qing Dynasty also sent Tulichen and others to the lower reaches of the Volga River to visit these compatriots far in the West. In 1770 (the 35th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty), under the leadership of their leader Wohlbasi, they held an uprising against Tsarist Russia. On January 5, 1771 (November 20, the 35th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty), Wohlbasi led the 170,000 of his troops to embark on the road of returning to the motherland. Along the way, he defeated the Tsarist army that was chasing and blocking, and returned to the motherland successfully in June. He was warmly received by Emperor Qianlong. In Chengde's "Temple of Putuo Zongcheng", there are two stone tablets, "The Surrender of the Turghut Ministry" and "The Records of the Youjie Turghut Ministry". It is one of the historical witnesses of the unity of the motherland. News raw data sources → https://www.abtool.cn/today_detail/11lv.html 17WorldNews[2025.09.13-13:12] 访问:71
