On this day 88 years ago, on January 20, 1937 (December 8, 1936 in the lunar calendar), the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University (referred to as "Anti-Japanese University") was established in Yan'an. On January 20, 1937, the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University (referred to as "Anti-Japanese Military and Political University") was established in Yan'an, formerly known as the Northwest Anti-Japanese Red Army University of the Soviet Republic of China (referred to as "Red University").
