Famous Russian writer Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol passed away

On March 4, 1852, the famous Russian writer Gogol died at the age of 43. Gogol was good at short stories, plays and novels describing Russian life. He was known for his combination of satirical humor, realism and fantasy.
