On March 4, 1852, the famous Russian writer Gogol died at the age of 43. Gogol was good at short stories, plays and novels describing Russian life. He was known for his combination of satirical humor, realism and fantasy. His representative works were large-scale comedies: "The Imperial Chancellor", the novel "Dead Souls", the short story "Coat" and "Diary of a Madman".
