Thirty-six years ago today, on December 7, 1989 (November 10, 1989), the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection demanded that party members involved in prostitution be dealt with seriously. On December 7, 1989, Xinhua News Agency reported that the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China formulated and implemented the "Interim Provisions on Party Disciplinary Punishment for Communist Party Members and Relevant Responsible Persons Participating in Prostitution and Prostitution Activities" in 1988, which stipulated that: Prostitution and prostitution activities are a serious corrupt phenomenon. If the circumstances are serious, they shall be given the punishment of dismissal from positions within the Party or above. Article 3 In guesthouses, inns, restaurants, guest houses and other units, where, due to chaotic management, prostitution or prostitution activities occur repeatedly, those directly responsible for leadership shall be given a serious warning within the Party or the punishment of dismissal from positions within the Party. Article 4 If employees of their own units are found to be involved in prostitution or prostitution activities, they shall not be investigated and punished, and measures shall not be taken to prevent recurrence. Those directly responsible for leadership shall be given the punishment of warning or serious warning within the Party. Article 5 In handling work, the boundaries between prostitution, prostitution and improper sexual relations shall be strictly distinguished.
