Strong (1885~ 1970), Anna Louis Strong, a famous American journalist and writer. Born in Ferrand City, Nebraska. Graduated from the University of Chicago. He devoted himself to progressive activities in his early years. From 1918 to 1920, he served as a feature editor of the Seattle trade union publication "Trade Union Chronicle". In 1921, he visited the Soviet Union. After that, he widely introduced the achievements of the Soviet Revolution. During the Anti-Japanese War, he went to China twice to report on the revolutionary struggle of workers and peasants led by the Communist Party of China and the heroic war of resistance of the people's army. In 1946, he visited Yan'an and other liberated areas. After coming to China in 1958, he settled in Beijing and reported the achievements of China's socialist revolution and construction to the world, which contributed to the promotion of understanding and friendship between the people of China and the United States. Died in Beijing in 1970. He is the author of books such as "Fighting Spain", "The Age of Stalin", "The Chinese Conquered China", and "Why I Came to China at the Age of 72"; and has edited 10 issues of "China Newsletter".
