Serious riots broke out in France on October 27, 2005
On October 27, 2005 (Chinese calendar September 25, 2005), serious riots occurred in France. On October 27, 2005, three boys ran into a substation in the northern suburbs of Paris to escape police pursuit. Two boys were electrocuted and killed instantly, thus triggering riots in France that lasted for more than ten days and spread to hundreds of towns. On November 8, France was forced to declare a state of emergency. According to French police statistics, more than 9000 cars were destroyed and dozens of buildings damaged during the riots.
