On December 28, 1988, Shengli Oilfield discovered another large oil field with reserves of hundreds of millions of tons. The Oilfield Battle Headquarters has named it Chengdao Oilfield. Chengdao Oilfield is located in the shallow waters of the Bohai Sea on the north bank of the Yellow River estuary. After repeated demonstrations by geological experts, the oil geological reserves have exceeded 100 million tons. Chengdao Oilfield is the first large oil field discovered in the shallow waters of China, which marks a major breakthrough in China's shallow oil exploration.
