On this day, 38 years ago, on May 9, 1987 (April 12, 1987, the lunar calendar), Wang Chuansong, a "famous and ugly person in Jiangnan", passed away. In 1987, Wang Chuansong, a famous Kunqu opera performing artist in my country, died of lung cancer in Hangzhou. Wang Chuansong was born in a poor family in Suzhou in 1907. At the age of 14, he entered the Suzhou Kunqu Opera Institute to learn from Lu Shouqing and Shen Bingquan, the veterans of Kunqu Opera. During his 65-year artistic career, he has created many vivid artistic images with different personalities. In 1956, he participated in the compilation, adaptation and performance of Kunqu Opera "Fifteen Guans". He plays the role of Lou A Mouse in the play, showing his superb and superb performing art and is famous all over the world. Wang Chuansong has made indelible contributions to the rebirth of Kunqu Opera art.
