Breaking-News >> TodayHistory Niren, the founder of Japanese Buddhism, was born
Nichiren On February 16, 1222, Niren, the founder of the Japanese Buddhist Niren Sect, was born. character brief introduction His father's name was Shigeru Jiro, and his mother's name was Meiju Nu. He was born in Minato, Japan. When he was born, clear water gushed from the ground and green lotus flowers bloomed. In the first year of Tianfu (1233 AD), 12-year-old Nilian entered Qingcheng Temple to study. After years of studying knowledge, he has become a young man with extraordinary wisdom. Later, in order to relieve the peace of the people and the country, he explored the true essence of Dharma and decided to become a monk. In 1237 AD, at the age of 16, he became a teacher with Daoshanfang, and his Taoist name was Shengfang Lianchang. In order to fulfill his long-cherished wish since he became a monk, he carried out a study tour among various countries led by Kamakura with far-reaching aspirations. After 1242 AD, more than 10 years later, I read more books to explore Dharma. Headed by the Hierishan Nobu Temple, the center of Buddhism in Japan at that time, and studied the profound meaning of the Fa Hua Sutra and all classics in major monasteries such as Nara, Osaka, and Kyoto. On April 28, 1253, the fifth year of Jianchang, the Great Sage was 32 years old. Climb to the top of the pine forest on Qingcheng Mountain and sing "Nanwu Wonderful Fa Lotus Sutra, Nanwu Wonderful Fa Lotus Sutra, Nanwu Wonderful Fa Lotus Sutra" to the universe of law headed by the rising sun, achieving the establishment of a sect. Great declaration. It was renamed "Rilian". At that time, when Kamakura was in chaos, the public power was gradually weakening, the martial family was rising, the trend of subjugation was gradually growing, wars were constant in various places, and people's lives were in dire straits. When the young Nilian saw all this, she couldn't help but feel that the Dharma she studied in normal times. The royal family and the aristocrats believed in and respected it very piously, but why was it not so useful? In addition, there were many Buddhist sects at that time, with each sect in Pure Land, Shining, and Tiantai preaching its teachings and recommending their teachings as the most respected. Which one was it? Little Nilian was already thinking about these two issues. So, shortly after entering the temple, Sanri Maro made a vow in front of the Wuzukang Bodhisattva: Determined to become the number one wise man in Japan! Four years later, in the third year of Jiazhen, 16-year-old Shanri Malu Youdao was officially toned and became a monk, with the Buddhist name "Is the Lotus Chief of the Holy Room." After that, in order to better study Buddhist doctrine and solve two questions in his mind, he left Qingcheng Temple and went to Kamakura, the political and Buddhist center at that time, to devote himself to studying. After hard study, he finally realized that chanting the Nanwu Miaofa Lotus Canon was the only right teaching and the only right teaching that could save the world in the end-Dharma era. He gradually perfected and established his ideological system. Finally, in the fifth year of Jianchang (1253 AD), Lianchang believed that his thoughts were mature and could be made public to the world, so he returned to his hometown after a long absence, at the age of 32. On April 28, the fifth year of Jianchang, in front of many monks and believers in the Buddhist Hall of Qingcheng Temple, he publicly chanted the "Nanwu Miaofa Lotus Sutra" ten times, announced the opening of the sect (later generations took April 28, 1253 as the date of the opening of the Rilian Sect), announced to the public the true teachings of the Buddha he had comprehended, and vigorously disrupted other popular sects at that time, causing a huge shock among the local people and causing an uproar. However, the local Tojo Jingxin was very pious to the Pure Land Sect, and was very angry at the teachings of the lotus head, so he did not hesitate to persecute it, and the many relatives, friends and teachers around him at that time could not fully accept its teachings. Under the persuasion and secret help of his teacher Shanfang, the lotus house had to leave his hometown and go to Kamakura again. He stayed in the Matsuya Valley near Kamakura and built a hut to live in. At the same time, he officially changed the name of the law to "Nichiren". At this time, Hiroshi, Riaki and others converted to his sect and became his early disciples. The believers at home, Tomiki Tenshinobu, Shijo Raiki, Kudo Yoshitaka, and Ikegami Zongzhong, also came to convert at this time. In 1260, the shogunate's "On the Peace of Rishi and Anguo" was published on the basis of Rishi as the cause and Anguo as the result. Rishi was the belief in the Fa Hua Sutra. They demanded that the Jing and Zen sects be banned, and that they specialize in the faith of Fahua. They were angry at the time of the North Jao and sent to the east of Izu (in today's Shizuoka) for the crime of deception. Two years later, he was pardoned and returned to Kamakura, where he still criticized the various sects as usual. Later, he was arrested by the shogunate and sent to Sado (Jai-shin). Here, he wrote "Kai Mu Chao" and "Guan Xin Di Zi Chao" for his disciples to clarify the meaning of the sect and adopt the attitude of explaining "breaking the door." Three years later, he was pardoned and returned to Kamakura. Soon after, he went to Senhan Mountain in Jiafi (now Yamanashi) to build a grass temple for the Hongbu of the "Fa Hua Jing". After the master passed away, the six old monks under his door, Rizhao, Rizang, Rizxing, Rizding, and Rizchi buried their remains on Senhan Mountain and established Jiuyuan Temple, which is the main mountain of today's Rilian Sect. Emperor Taisho posthumously posthumously posthumous title of Risho Master. Rilian is the author of "Guanxin Dushen Copy","Kaimu Copy","Zhuan Shi Chao","Lizheng Anguo Lun","Revening Grace Copy" and other articles. In September of the fifth year of Hong 'an (1282 AD), Nilian passed on the main body of the sect's Taoist altar and the related methods to Master Rixing. In the same month, Nilian, under the strong advice of many disciples, left Senhan Mountain and went to the hot spring of Changlu State for recuperation. However, in fact, Nilien did not go to Changlu in the end, but stayed at the home of Musashi's lay disciple Ikegami Zongzhong. He knew that he was about to die, so he began to make arrangements for his affairs. In October, among the many disciples he followed, he designated Nilien, Niliang, Nilixing, Niliding, and Nilishi as "admitted disciples", which were later called the "six old monks". They would inherit and be responsible for Nilien's missionary activities in various places after his death. On October 13th, Nilien once again handed over the relevant methods and final will to Master Rixing. Later, they were collected into a royal book, specifying that Master Rixing would inherit his mantle. On the same day, Master Riren said his silence at his home in Ikeshang and finished his bumpy but legendary life at the age of sixty-one. Nichiren Sect The Nhiren sect is one of the main sects of Japanese Buddhism. It was founded by the Nhiren master in the middle of the Kamakura period (about the 13th century). Nilian believes that only the "Wonderful Fa Lianhua Sutra" is the true rectification. In the fifth year of the founding of the People's Republic of China (1253), Riren returned to his hometown to visit relatives. On April 28, he climbed Qingcheng Mountain and sang "Nanwu Wonderful Fa Lotus Sutra" 10 times towards the rising red sun at sea, marking the beginning of the founding of Riren Sect. In order to promote his new teachings, he strongly criticized other sects, so he was exiled three times. There are two methods of enlightenment: the so-called "surrender"(evil and rebellious education) and "acceptance"(obedient education). After the destruction, the six old monks under his door, including Rizhao, Rilang, Rixing, Xingxing, Riding, and Richi, buried his remains on Shenyan Mountain to build Jiuyuan Temple, which is the main mountain of Lianzong today. There are more than 300 books such as "On Protecting the Country" and "On the Country of Rishida". Later, Nizhiren's disciples were divided into many factions. Among the dozens of new religions in modern Japan, 70% belong to the Nishiren family.
