Cleopatra VII of Egypt dies

Cleopatra VII (Greek :Κλεοπατρα Ζ, Cleopatra VII; December 70 BC or January 69 BC - August 12 BC) was the last pharaoh of the Ptolemaic dynasty of ancient Egypt.

Cleopatra VII was outstanding in appearance, intelligence, good at skills, and evil intentions. Her life was full of drama. In particular, she was involved in the political whirlpool of the late Roman Republic, and her close relationship with Caesar and Antony, accompanied by various anecdotes, made her a famous figure in literature and art. Leopatra was one of the monarchs canonized by the Ptolemaic dynasty after Alexander the Great conquered Egypt. Her father, Ptolemy XII, appointed his eldest son Ptolemy to rule with her. In 51 BC, Cleopatra ascended to the throne. Cleopatra was undoubtedly a focal figure in ancient Egypt. In the accounts of later generations, this peerless Egyptian beauty not only temporarily preserved a dynasty with her alluring beauty, but also made the kings of the powerful Roman Empire fall under her pomegranate skirt and willingly work for her. Dante, Shakespeare and others have described this legendary woman as "a sexy temptress of the world"; while Shaw also called her "a wayward and undedicated woman". Cleopatra VII, the daughter of Egyptian kings Ptolemy XII and Cleopatra V., was born in 69 BC and grew up in a luxurious court. When her father died in 51 BC, she left a will designating Cleopatra VII and her half-brother Ptolemy XIII (63-47 BC) as heirs to rule together. But the two fell out over factional struggles and power struggles. After being expelled from Alexandria in 48 BC, Cleopatra VII assembled his army along the Egyptian-Syrian border to invade Egypt.

At this time, Caesar followed Pompey to Egypt to mediate in the Egyptian throne dispute. Cleopatra VII received this news and sneaked into Alexandria by boat at night, wrapped himself in a blanket, and was carried to Caesar's door. Cleopatra VII suddenly appeared in front of Caesar, which made Caesar understand and happy. She soon became his mistress. Ptolemy XIII lost the Alexandrian War against Caesar and drowned in the Nile River. Cleopatra VII relied on Caesar to consolidate his position and became the de facto ruler of Egypt. In name, in accordance with Egyptian tradition, he married another half-brother, Ptolemy XIV (ca. Genesis 59-44), and jointly ruled Egypt. In order to please Yu Qiaoche, Cleopatra VII flattered him in every way, held a feast, and accompanied him on a cruise ship up the Nile River to enjoy the scenery. Soon after, Caesar left for Asia Minor for the war and later returned to Rome. At that time, Cleopatra VII gave birth to Caesar a son, named Ptolemy Caesar or Caesarion.

In 45 BC, Cleopatra VII and Ptolemy XIV were invited to Rome, where they received the honor and lived in Caesar's private house across the Tiber tree. Caesar fulfilled his oath and built a temple in Rome to honor his Julius ancestor Venus, and erected a gold statue of Cleopatra VII next to the goddess. Seeing that she was about to become the first lady of the Roman world, Caesar was assassinated and killed on March 15, 44 BC. Cleopatra VII's dream was instantly shattered and he left Rome sadly.

When Cleopatra VII returned to Egypt, he poisoned Ptolemy XIV and made her and Caesar's son Ptolemy XV to rule Egypt together. His son was declared the son of Amon.
