On October 4, 2000 (September 7, 2000 in the lunar calendar), the World Famous Secondary School Principals Forum was held in Beijing. Secondary school principals and education experts from all over the world gathered at Peking University from October 4 to 5, 2000 to participate in the "World Famous Secondary School Principals Forum--International Symposium on Secondary Education in the 21st Century" held in Beijing. This forum, hosted by the Peking University Affiliated Middle School, a famous key middle school in my country, attracted the participation of more than 20 middle school principals from different countries and regions around the world, as well as more than 80 famous domestic middle school principals and education experts. Participants believed that secondary school education in the 21st century should aim at cultivating talents with a sense of cooperation and innovative spirit. Senior middle school teachers must have diversified knowledge structures and innovative capabilities, and modern education and management methods must be fully utilized in teaching.
