Soderberg (Steven Soderberg or Steven Soderberg) was born in Georgia on January 14, 1963, and grew up in Louisiana. His father is the dean of the School of Education at Louisiana State University. While in high school, he joined a college film class. After graduating from high school, he came to Hollywood and became a freelance editor. One of his documentaries about rock music was nominated for the 1986 Grammy Awards. After his first success, he began to shoot a film with the themes of sex, lies and videotape. The film was a great success. At the 1989 Ghana Film Festival, he became the youngest recipient in the history of the film festival, making the film's director one of the golden boys in the world's film industry. He made two more films from 1993 to 1995, but the results were terrible. The 1998 "Blind Spot" was another film he received excellent reviews after his success in 1989. Among the Oscar nominations in 2001, young director Steven Soderberg's two films,"Irene Blockovich" and "Traffic", were both nominated for best picture; he himself received two nominations for best director, setting a record in Oscar history.
