On this day, 89 years ago, April 30, 1936 (March 10, 1936, the lunar calendar), Japan immigrated to Northeast China with armed forces. On April 30, 1936, the Japanese Kwantung Army held the second immigration conference in Xinjing, the puppet state of Manchukuo, and adopted the "Plan for the Relocation of Million Households of Agricultural Immigrants in Manchukuo", proposing that the puppet regime allocate 10 million towns and towns for resettlement. Within 20 years from 1937, 1 million and 5 million Japanese farmers were transplanted to Northeast China. The plan is divided into 4 phases, each phase of 5 years, with 100,000 households in the first phase, and increasing by 100,000 households in the subsequent phases. Through immigration, the ethnic composition and land ownership relationship of the population in Northeast China will be changed. It is estimated that in 20 years, Japanese immigrants will account for more than 10% of the total population in Northeast China and account for 1/3 of the cultivated land in Northeast China. At the same time, half of Japan's poor farmers will be lost to Northeast China, which can reduce domestic pressure in Japan.
