On August 29, 2000 (August 1, 2000 in the lunar calendar), the annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Publishers Federation was held in China for the first time. The Asia-Pacific Publishers Federation (APPA) was established in June 1994. It is currently the only international publishing house group in the Asia-Pacific region. For six years, it has been committed to promoting book publishing exchanges and cultural communication among Asia-Pacific countries, and has represented the Asian publishing community.
