This "High-tech Fair" co-sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information Industry, China Academy of Sciences and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, features high-tech achievements trading as a distinctive feature. It is oriented internationally and radiates across the country. Its content is divided into three major parts: high-tech achievements trading, high-tech product display and trading, and high-tech forums. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Zibin, director of the organizing committee of the "High-tech Fair" and mayor of Shenzhen. A total of 86 delegations participated in this "Hi-Tech Fair". 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and 5 cities separately listed in the plan, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, all organized groups.
