107 years ago today, on May 15, 1918 (April 6, 1918 in the lunar calendar), Lu Xun published his novel "Diary of a Madman". "Diary of a Madman" is Lu Xun's first vernacular short story. It was published in the May 15, 1918 issue of "New Youth" magazine, Volume 4, No. 5, and later included in "The Scream". Through the self-report of a persecuted person, the novel profoundly exposes and attacks the poison of the feudal family system and feudal ethics, vividly portrays the image of a "madman" who is a rebel of feudal ethics, and calls on people to overthrow the old system of cannibalism. It is the first famous new literary work in the history of modern Chinese literature that is completely anti-feudal. When the novel was published, it was on the eve of the "May 4th" movement.
