On this day, 88 years ago, on September 25, 1937 (August 21, 1937, the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army won a great victory at Pingxingguan. During the Battle of Pingxingguan, the machine-gun position of a certain unit of the 115th Division was on September 25, 1937, the Eighth Route Army won its first battle at Pingxingguan. The 115th Division took the opportunity to suddenly open fire across the entire line, causing a large number of casualties to the enemy and launching a charge. The commander of the fifth division of the Japanese army, Shiro Ibanaki, urgently mobilized troops from Yu County and Laiyuan to reinforce him. He was blocked by the independent regiment and cavalry battalion of the 115th Division in areas north and east of Lingqiu, and more than 300 of his people were killed and wounded at the waist. The battle lasted until 13:00, and all the besieged Japanese troops were wiped out. In this battle, the 115th Division wiped out more than 1000 Japanese troops, seized more than 1000 rifles and more than 20 machine guns, destroyed more than 100 cars and more than 200 carriages, and our army suffered more than 600 casualties.
