November 23, 1936 Suibei Resistance Battle
89 years ago today, on November 23, 1936 (October 10, 1936 in the lunar calendar), the Chinese army launched the Suibei Resistance War against the Japanese invading China. General Fu Zuoyi and his subordinates November 23, 1936, the Chinese army launched the Suibei Resistance War against the Japanese invading China. In early November 1936, the Japanese Kwantung Army Staff Officer and the head of the special service agency stationed in Jiabu Temple (i.e. Xinming, Jindehua) Takayoshi Tanaka commanded more than 17,000 puppet troops to invade Suiyuan (now incorporated into Inner Mongolia) with the support of the air forces and artillery of the Kwantung Army. Fu Zuoyi, chairperson of the Suiyuan Provincial Government of China, commander-in-chief of the Jinsui Bandit Suppression Army and commander of the 1st Route Army, was ordered to lead more than 30,000 troops to conduct the Suiyuan Resistance War in the east and north of Suiyuan to resist the attack of the Japanese puppet army. In mid-November, the Chinese army achieved victory in the Suidong counterattack operation. After that, Fu Zuoyi ordered 1 regiment of the 2nd Cavalry Division, 2 regiments of the 211th Brigade, 1 supplementary regiment, and 1 artillery battalion each, with 20 armored vehicles. Combining surprise attacks and strong attacks, the 7th Division of the pseudo-Mongol Army stationed in the Hundred Spirits Temple in Suibei was besieged and wiped out. On the night of the 23rd, various parts of the Chinese army launched a sudden attack on about 3,000 puppet troops stationed at the Hundred Spirits Temple. The next day, most of the defenders were annihilated, and their remnants were forced to retreat to the Sylamulun Temple (that is, the Great Temple, now Hongge) and the Bratu Temple. Fu Zuoyi judged that the Japanese puppet army would not give up the Bailing Temple easily, so he ordered most of the troops to withdraw to the two molecules to gather and stand by, in order to avoid enemy bombing, leaving a small number of troops to lure the enemy to attack, so as to wipe it out. Sure enough, on December 3, more than 2,000 puppet troops under the command of Japanese advisers approached the Bailing Temple by car from the Syracuse Temple, and under the cover of the Kwantung Army's aviation, launched multiple attacks on the Bailing, all of which were repelled by the 211th Brigade and other departments of the Fu army. The puppet army was wiped out by more than half and was forced to retreat. At the same time, more than 3,000 puppet cavalry rushed from the Tumur platform to the northeast of Wuchuan to contain the Fu army's reinforcements to the Bailing Temple, but they were defeated by the 2nd Division of the Fu cavalry. In order to completely wipe out the puppet army that was defeated by Bailing Temple and Wuchuan, Fu's army launched an attack on the 6th, and the puppet army jumped and fled in a hurry, followed by 2 brigades of the puppet army at Xilamulun Temple. On the 20th, 2 brigades of the puppet army stationed in the southern moat of Suidong revolted. At this point, the Suiyuan War of Resistance ended. Comment: It hit the arrogance of the Japanese puppet army.
