On this day, 96 years ago, on February 20, 1929 (January 11, 1929 in the lunar calendar), Su Zhaozheng, leader of the early workers 'movement in my country, passed away. Su Zhaozheng was born in 1885 in Zhongshan, Guangdong. In 1922, he led the Hong Kong seafarers 'strike. Joined the Communist Party of China in 1925. In 1926, he was elected chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions at the Third National Labor Conference. In the spring of 1927, he served as Minister of Labor of the Wuhan National Government. The Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was elected as an alternate member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. In 1928, he attended the Fourth National Congress of the Red Workers 'International and the Sixth National Congress of the Communist International held in Moscow, and served as an executive member of these two organizations. After the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he was elected as a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. He returned to China in January 1929. He died of illness in Shanghai on February 20, 1929. On July 3, 1925, the Provincial and Hong Kong Strike Committee was established.
