The "August 7th Conference" was held on August 7, 1927

The meeting adopted the "Letter to the Party Members at the Eighth Seventh Session of the Communist Party of China." Qu Qiubai delivered a report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provisional Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. It was emphasized that the party's future task is to "use our army to develop the agrarian revolution." The specific principles for realizing this struggle strategy are: first, we must pay more attention to fighting for leadership with the bourgeoisie; second, we must pay attention to winning over the masses from the bottom up; third, we must organize a temporary revolutionary government with a majority of Communists and a dictatorship of workers and peasants during the riots. Then, the meeting passed the "Resolution on the Recent Peasant Struggle." "Resolution on Recent Workers 'Movement" and "Resolution on Party Organization Issues". The General Assembly elects the Provisional Political Bureau of the Central Committee. Nine people, including Su Zhaozheng, Xiang Zhongfa, Qu Qiubai, Gu Shunzhang, Peng Pai, and Ren Bishi, were elected as official members, and seven people, including Deng Zhongxia, Zhou Enlai, Mao Zedong, Zhang Tailei, Zhang Tongtao, and Li Lisan, were elected as alternate members.
