One hundred years ago today, on April 24, 1925 (April 2, 1925 in the lunar calendar), Chen Cheng and others launched the Sun Yat-sen Doctrine Society. On April 24, 1925, a group of radical right-wing young students at the Whampoa Military Academy, Chen Cheng, He Qinhan, Miao Bin and others, gathered together and decided to launch the Sun Yat-sen Doctrine Society. This was the first political organization named after "Sun Yat-sen" since Sun Yat-sen's death. They felt the need to use such a form to resist the increasingly powerful left-wing forces centered on the Communist Party, such as the Young Soldiers Federation within the Whampoa School, and part ways with the Communist Party.
