On this day 77 years ago, on October 15, 1948 (September 13, 1948 lunar calendar), the People's Liberation Army conquered Jinzhou. On October 14, 1948, the Northeast Field Army of the People's Liberation Army launched a general attack on Jinzhou. On October 2, 1948, Chiang Kai-shek flew to Shenyang, held a military conference, and personally deployed the military to assist Jinzhou.
