Shang Yunxiang (November 28, 1864-October 10, 1937) was a martial artist, master of Xingyiquan, and founder of Shang's Xingyiquan. Shang Yunxiang first became Li Cunyi's teacher, and later received the true inheritance of Guo Yunshen. He is frail and thin, and is less than 1.6 meters tall, but he is famous for his "big pole","half-step collapse boxing","dantian qi beating" and actual combat martial arts. She was hired by Li Lianying, the chief of the Qing Dynasty's internal affairs department, to guard the courtyard. She once presided over the escort agency in Li Cunyi's Peicheng Escort Agency in Beijing and the Wantong Escort Agency in Baoding. Shang Yunxiang Shang Yunxiang, also known as Jiting, was born on November 28, 1864 and died on October 10, 1937. When Shang Yunxiang was a child, he followed his father to Beijing to do business and run a horse stall shop. He was intelligent and knowledgeable since he was a child. He was naturally competitive and fond of martial arts. He learned calligraphy from Mr. Zhanfang, and martial arts from Feng Dayi, a famous Shaolin scholar. After six years, I have become proficient with the boxing stick,"sweeping forward, sweeping back, stuffing ancient trees, sweeping big, practicing like a flower." There were few opponents in Peiping, and for a time, he believed that he had made great achievements. Once, Shang Yunxiang was near the moat in Peiping and saw Li Zhihe, a famous Xingyi Boxing artist, who did not know what boxing he practiced. He asked,"Is it useful for you to practice what boxing?" Li replied: "I don't know." Shang Yunxiang repeatedly asked for a try. The two of them started to shake hands. As soon as they joined hands, they were slapped forward by Li and fell far away. Shang Yunxiang was surprised and asked to try again, but was thrown far away again. Shang Yunxiang felt particularly strange and asked Li again: "What boxing have you learned and how long have you learned?" Answer: "Xingyi Boxing, less than three years." This boxing is simple and powerful. Shang Yunxiang respected Li very much, so he wanted to transfer to Xingyi Boxing. Shang Yunxiang visited famous teachers in Xingyi and finally met Li Cunyi after three years of expensive travel. But Li thought he was a little "like a little sugar melon" and refused to accept him. Fortunately, Zhou Mingtai interceded and agreed to accept him. Because he was short and frail, others often joked with "little sugar melons", which prompted him to swear: "Although sugar melons are small, I want them to break their teeth." Kung Fu skills quickly became outstanding among fellow disciples. The teacher was very happy and devoted his money to teaching. Shang Yunxiang also became more obsessed with practicing hard, but neglected the management of the pedaling shop, resulting in a tight life, it is very difficult to buy a pair of shoes, he practiced barefoot, day long foot palm hard as iron, people gave the elegant name "Iron Foot Buddha". Li Cunyi and Cheng Yanhua are both disciples of Dong Haichuan. They have the friendship of fellow countrymen and Jin Lan brothers. Therefore, Shang Yunxiang has the essence of the Eight Diagrams Palm of the two predecessors. He taught the practice method of Bagua Palm, rotating around the circle, swinging and wading mud steps are different, rising and falling, drilling and turning, rapid and firm, with special characteristics. In the Book of Revelation, he said,"My friend, the Lord is the One who is the One who is the Lord." "At that time, Xingyi Bagua belonged to the same family. Li Cunyi and Cheng Tinghua were senior brothers and brothers. Shang Yunxiang had been deeply taught by Li Cunyi, Cheng Tinghua and other seniors, and the Bagua he practiced was different. He took steps and exerted strength while moving, and was fast and solid. Shang Yunxiang is happy to make martial arts heroes, meet friends with martial arts, collect widely, increase martial arts skills, test skills with his hands, correct martial arts, accumulate experience from practical application, and constantly enrich and improve himself. He was very close to many famous masters in Beijing and Tianjin, such as Ma Gui, a famous gossip master known as the "Trojan Horse", Zhang Ce, a famous arm master known as the "Jingdong Hero", and Wang Maozhai, a famous Wu Tai Chi master known as the "Southern Wu and Northern King". During the Gengzi Rebellion, Li Cunyi taught Mr. Shang Yunxiang all the "experience of form and meaning" he had gained when he went west to visit his predecessors, which benefited him deeply. Later, Mr. Shang Quxiang himself went to Shanxi twice to visit Xinyi Liuhe Gate, and he gained a lot. Due to his hard work and understanding, he integrated the similarities and differences in northern Shanxi, blended and sublimated, and his skills improved greatly. In his middle age, he was already famous in martial arts circles and his skills were well-known among all heroes. When Guo Yunshen heard that a rising star, Shang Yunxiang, had appeared in his family, he was very pleased and fell in love with him. He kept him with him for more than half a year and taught him three secret skills: "Big Pole","Half-Step Collapse Fist","Dantian Qi Fighting". Mr. Zhi's skills and skills are becoming increasingly perfect and becoming more and more exquisite. Shang Yunxiang's ten years of practice have formed a unique practice method that originated from the Hebei Sect but is different from the Hebei Sect and other sects. Adhere to traditions without adhering to them, learn from ancient precepts without clay. In order to explore the mystery of form and meaning, he studied the scriptures with his head bare and honed his life. I am over sixty years old. Although I have achieved success and fame, I am still exploring and concealing myself and seeking secrets. He relied on the theory and essence of the scriptures to reject Yu Mias to explain the true meaning, and made arguments to correct mistakes, forming a unique practice method that originated from Hebei but is different from Hebei. At that time, they were called "Iron Arms Shang" and "Iron Feet Buddha". He was as good at breaking punches as Guo, and Guo Yunshen was called "half-step breaking punches all over the world." This tribute can also be applied to Shang Yunxiang as it is. Shang Yunxiang learned about martial arts throughout his life and served as a bodyguard, nurse, detective, and martial arts teacher. After learning Xingyi, he fought countless people. Historical records show that no one dared to compete with him for fame at that time. Shang Yunxiang's skills were awarded to his beloved daughter Shang Zhirong (1922 - 2004). Shang Zhirong also loved martial arts since she was a child, and passed on all the skills taught by her father to her son-in-law Liu Junfeng.
