95 years ago today, on August 9, 1930 (June 15, 1930, the lunar calendar), the China Peasants and Workers Democratic Party was established in Shanghai. The Peasants and Workers Democratic Party of China (referred to as the Peasants and Workers 'Party) is one of the eight major democratic parties in China. It is mainly composed of middle and high-level intellectuals in the fields of medicine, health, science and technology, culture and education. It has the characteristics of political alliance and is a political alliance with China's ruling party, the Communist Party of China. A participating party that has long-term cooperation and commitment to the cause of socialism. In May 1927, in view of the Wuhan Central Committee's determination to betray the revolution, Deng Yanda, the famous leftist leader of the Kuomintang, planned to form a new political party in order to implement Sun Yat-sen's three major policies of "uniting with Russia, uniting with the Communist Party, and supporting farmers and workers." On August 9, 1930, he presided over the first National Cadre Conference in Shanghai, formally established the Provisional Action Committee of the Kuomintang of China, adopted the anti-imperialism, anti-feudalism and anti-Chiang program "Our Political Opinions", and elected the Central Cadre Conference, with Deng Yanda as the Director-General. The committee carried out organizational and political activities in some provinces and cities in East, North and South China, preparing to seize power by armed force. At the end of November 1931, Deng Yanda was killed by Chiang Kai-shek. In order to adapt to the development of the domestic revolutionary situation after "September 18th", the Kuomintang Provisional Action Committee put forward an action program of "defeating Chiang and resisting Japan" and successively participated in the "January 28th" Songhu Anti-Japanese War and the Chasui People's Anti-Japanese Alliance Army Anti-Japanese War. In 1935, the Communist Party of China issued the "August 1st Declaration", calling for "stopping the civil war and uniting to resist Japan." The Provisional Action Committee of the Kuomintang of China responded first and held the second national cadre meeting in Kowloon on November 10 of the same year. It changed the name of the party to the Action Committee for the Liberation of the Chinese People. With the general policy of anti-Chiang, alliance with the Communist Party and resistance, it adopted the "Provisional Action Program", advocating uniting the whole country, fighting against Japan, carrying out an agrarian revolution, and practicing democracy. The meeting elected Huang Qixiang as the general secretary. After the meeting, the committee worked closely with the Communist Party of China to promote anti-Japanese aggression. In March 1941, it participated in the organization of the China Democratic Political League Alliance, and together with the patriotic and democratic forces within the alliance, persisted in the struggle for democratic constitutionalism and unity against Japan. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Chinese National Liberation Action Committee actively participated in the patriotic democratic movement for peace and democracy and opposed civil war dictatorship, and resolutely opposed and refused to participate in the "National Convention" arranged by the Kuomintang reactionaries. On February 3, 1947, the Fourth National Cadre Conference was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, the name was changed to China Peasants and Peasants Democratic Party, and Zhang Bojun was elected Chairman of the Central Executive Committee and Peng Zemin was Chairman of the Central Supervisory Commission. After the meeting, in conjunction with the War of Liberation, the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party actively participated in the patriotic democratic movement and carried out military activities. In May 1948, the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party responded to the "May Day" call of the Communist Party of China to convene a meeting of the New Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and establish a democratic coalition government. In January 1949, leaders of the Peasants and Workers 'Party and other party leaders and non-party democrats jointly published "Our Opinions on the Current Situation", announcing their willingness to carry the revolution to the end under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. Subsequently, the Peasants and Workers Party participated in the preparations for the new CPPCC, and participated in the formulation of the "Common Program" and the election of the Central People's Government at the first plenary session of the China People's Political Consultative Conference. After the founding of New China, in November 1949, the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party held the Fifth National Cadre Conference in Beijing and decided to accept the leadership of the Communist Party of China. With the "Common Program" as its action program, it also actively participated in various political movements such as state affairs management, political consultation and land reform, and resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea. In November 1958, the Peasants and Workers Party changed the National Cadre Conference into the National Congress, and held the Seventh National Congress in Beijing, electing Ji Fang as chairman of the presidium. At the Third Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee of the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party held in January 1987, Ji Fang resigned as Chairman of the Central Committee and Zhou Gucheng was elected Chairman of the Central Committee. At the Tenth National Congress held in November 1988, Lu Jiaxi was elected chairman of the Central Committee.
