On June 30, 1932, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission of the Communist Party of China issued an order signed by Xiang Ying, the acting chairperson of the Military Commission, "On Deciding August 1 to be the Anniversary of the Establishment of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army", informing the whole army: "Since 1933, August 1 will be the Anniversary of the Establishment of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army." Subsequently, the Central People's Government Committee of the Chinese Soviet Republic issued the "Resolution of the Central Government on the Commemorative Movement of the August 1 Uprising".
