Thirty years ago today, on May 14, 1995 (April 15, 1995 in the lunar calendar), the rare infectious disease Ebola was discovered in Zaire. Ebola virus, also translated as Ebola virus, is a severe infectious virus that can cause Ebola hemorrhagic fever in humans and primates. It has a high mortality rate of 50% to 90%. The name of the Ebola virus comes from the "Ebola River" in Zaire, Africa. In May 1995, a rare infectious disease caused by the Ebola virus occurred in the city of Kikwit, Zaire, killing 130 people and fleeing the epidemic area. The cause was first discovered in the Ebola region of Zaire in 1976 and got its name. The route of transmission is similar to that of AIDS. It is transmitted through blood and body fluids.
