January 8, 2011 The college entrance examination reform Some subjects will be tested more than a year
On January 8, 2011 (December 5, 2010 in the lunar calendar), some subjects of the college entrance examination reform will be tested for more than one year. On January 8, 2011, according to CCTV, the "one test for life" college entrance examination system will finally be broken. The Ministry of Education has recently determined the reform plan of the college entrance examination, and some subjects will be tested for more than one year to reduce the pressure on students to take the college entrance examination. With the introduction of this reform plan, the roadmap for China's college entrance examination reform has become increasingly clear. There has been a long-standing call for reforming the current "one test for life" college entrance examination system. Many students and educators support changing some subjects from "one test for life" to "more than one year". They believe that this will greatly improve the fairness of the college entrance examination and reduce the chance. Just a few days ago, the Learning Times published an article by Yuan Guiren, Minister of the Ministry of Education, "Fully promoting the scientific development of education in our country". The article clarified the main ideas for the reform of the college entrance examination, including exploring multiple exams in some subjects a year to reduce the pressure on the college entrance examination. In fact, the outline of education planning, known as the "China Education Blueprint for the Next 10 Years" issued in July last year, has already included "exploring the method of multiple exams in some subjects a year and exploring the implementation of socialized exams." The "Outline of Education Planning" pointed out that the reform of the examination enrollment system should be used as a breakthrough to overcome the drawbacks of a lifetime test, and promote the implementation of quality-oriented education and the cultivation of innovative talents. It is reported that Zhejiang Province has been experimenting with "more than one year test" in English subjects since 2009. In the Zhejiang Provincial College Entrance Examination, English is 150 points, and the English listening test with 30 points is held in normal times, that is, in March and September each year. Students decide the time and frequency of taking the test (limited to two times), and choose one of the test results to be counted in the total score. The content of the roadmap for the reform of the college entrance examination also includes: implementing the talent selection method that separates the entrance examination of general undergraduate and higher vocational education; improving the high school academic examination and comprehensive quality evaluation, guiding students to learn various courses well, and overcoming the phenomenon of liberal arts and sciences; improving the allocation of college entrance examination enrollment places, cleaning up and standardizing the policy of bonus points for further education, and maintaining the justice and fairness of exam enrollment; accelerating the establishment of multi-channel entrance examination and study overpasses to provide multiple selection opportunities for students to grow into talents. It is understood that Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong and other provinces and cities have begun to explore the separate examination of general undergraduate and higher vocational education.
