Pasternak's full name is Boris Leonidovich Pasternak. His main works include poetry collections "Gemini in the Clouds" and "Life is My Sister". He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1958 for his novel "Doctor Zhivago".

In 1955, during the so-called "thawing period" of Soviet literature, Pasternak wrote Doctor Zhivago.
