Thirty years ago today, on October 2, 1995 (August 8, 1995), the first urban jungle basketball court was opened in Beijing. On October 2, 1995, there was laughter in Dongdan Stadium, which is located in the downtown area of Beijing. The first urban jungle basketball court in our country was opened here. The basketball court was jointly built by the Chinese Basketball Association, the Beijing Basketball Association and Nike to celebrate the 100th anniversary of basketball entering China. Liu Yumin, deputy secretary general of the Chinese Basketball Association, said: "In crowded cities, there are more and more commercial buildings and residential buildings, but people have less and less space for activities. We built this court with the hope of providing an accessible place for city residents to experience the charm of basketball in sports and leisure. "It is reported that the Beijing Urban Jungle Basketball Court will be open to the public every Monday to Saturday from 8am to 3pm, and open to the public all day on Sundays.
