107 years ago today, July 18, 1918 (June 11, 1918 in the lunar calendar), South African President Mandela was born. Mandela, the chief's son, whose name means "one who asks for trouble." Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 into a family of tribal chiefs in Transkei, South Africa. He studied at Haihlberg University and Jinshan University. Mandela participated in the African National Congress of South Africa in 1944 and participated in the creation of the ANC Youth League.
