Under the banner of the Anti-Japanese United Front in the literary and artistic circles,"national defense literature" continues to be produced. National defense drama works such as "The Mother of Abyssinia"(written by Tian Han),"The Eve"(written by Yang Hansheng),"Luminous Cup"(written by You Jing),"Black Hell"(written by Ling He), as well as the collective creations of "Foreign Sugar"(written by Hong Shen),"Our Hometown"(written by Zhang Min), and "The Sons of Traitors"(written by You Jing) have all been staged one after another. Xia Yan's national defense drama "Golden Flower" was first performed by the "Drama Club of the 1940s" with the cooperation of film and drama workers.
