He once said to people: "Yuezhong has been returning since the Ming Dynasty, and the master of Confucianism has lectured successively. He has hidden the scriptures and teachings from the past, and through the debate of Yan Huayi, it is appropriate to recover, and he has been deeply involved in Confucianism than later scholars. The revolution is prosperous, and those who welcome and cooperate are mostly excellent elements. Even if they are caught in the net of the law, they will still be forgiven to the world; if there is no prison, there is no way to die, and they are in the grip of power, and there is no way to be rehabilitated. Although people light me up, how can they be reproached like conscience!" Although those who heard it consoled Zhong Yue, Zhong Yue could not be relieved, Every day, he would read the seven words "Autumn Rain and Autumn Wind Worry People" at Qiu Jin's last ink silently, and his heart ached so much that he could not die. Once he jumped into a well to commit suicide, but he could not be saved. A few days later, he tied a rope to an old tree, but his wife found it. His family took precautions and did not dare to stay away, but Zhong Yue had decided to die. At about 9 am on the 29th, he hanged himself in the side house by his family, at the age of 53.
