94 years ago today, on March 9, 1931 (January 21, 1931, the Lunar Calendar),"Hongqi Weekly" was founded. On March 9, 1931, the Red Flag Weekly, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, was founded."Red Flag Weekly" is the fourth official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It was founded in Shanghai on March 9, 1931. "Hongqi Weekly" was renamed from "Hongqi Daily" and restored from "Organ Newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee" to "Organ Newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China." In its inaugural issue,"Red Flag Weekly" published the "Draft Decree of the First National Congress of the Soviet of China","Breaking the Kuomintang's New Plan to Attack the Red Army" and "Letter from the Editor of this Newspaper to Readers." The 59th issue was changed to a semi-monthly publication in August 1933 and ended on March 1, 1934. A total of 64 issues have been published, with 13 additional issues. In the harsh environment of reactionary white terror, Red Flag Weekly cannot be published publicly. Starting from the 10th issue,"Red Flag Weekly" has been changed to a 32-open edition. In order to cover its true appearance, the cover often appears with fake covers such as "Industrial Weekly" and "Buddhist Research".
