On January 10, 1994, Wang Chengxin and other five experts appealed to the Beijing City Intermediate People's Court. Zhu Guangya and more than 200 CPPCC members called for the illegal production, sale and use of highly toxic rodenticides to be strictly prohibited. Lu Jiaxi and other 14 academicians called for: safeguarding scientific dignity and ensuring fairness in law enforcement, and suggested establishing a scientific and technological jury system. This triggered a discussion in the scientific and technological community on "safeguarding the dignity of science." On February 22, 1995, the Beijing Intermediate People's Court finally ruled that Qiu Mantun lost the case. In April of this year, the General Office of the State Council issued a special order and began to ban Qiu's rat poison. In November 2004, Qiu's Mouse Sticking Factory in Wuji County held an on-site exhibition in the provincial capital. Qiu Mandun, the vice chairman of the board, showed off his product-Qiu's mouse stick board. Within an hour, a total of 10 mice were killed on more than ten sticky rat boards spread on the ground. The test results made Qiu Mandian and his collaborators very satisfied. Qiu Mantun began a new journey.
