243 years ago today, on April 21, 1782 (March 9, 1782 lunar calendar), the German educator Froebel was born. Froebel was born on April 21, 1782. Dropped out of school at an early age and lacked regular contact with children of the same age. Worked with a forester, developed a keen interest in nature and developed a habit of careful observation of things. Later studied some informal university courses. At the age of 23, he taught in a school. He believed that Germany could be rebuilt only by overhauling the educational system. In 1814, he became director of the Mineral Museum at the University of Berlin. In his later years, he achieved two things in his career: founding a kindergarten that called itself the "School of Child Nurturing"; and founding a small normal school for boarding. He established a theoretical system of preschool education in terms of educational thought, and believed that improving preschool education was an important beginning of comprehensive education and social reform. The kindergarten movement he advocated won worldwide support and support. He died on June 21, 1852.
