On this day 43 years ago, on November 25, 1982 (October 11, 1982 in the lunar calendar), the Central Military Commission awarded Zhang Hua an honorary title. The Central Military Commission issued an order on November 25, 1982, awarding Zhang Hua the honorary title of "an outstanding college student who is full of ideals and brave enough to dedicate himself". Zhang Hua was a 79th-level cadet of the Air Force Medical Department of the Fourth Military Medical University of the People's Liberation Army. He enlisted in the army in 1977 and was admitted to the Fourth Military Medical University in 1979. In July 1982, he sacrificed his life honorably for rescuing members who had dug out feces and fallen into the pool. The order pointed out that Zhang Hua's heroic deeds and lofty character fully embodied the spirit of communism and had become a model for young people, cadres and party members to learn from. The order called on all comrades in the army, especially military cadets, to seriously learn from Zhang Hua.
