On the morning of September 1, the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held at the Tianjin Meiji Exhibition Center.

The meeting unanimously agreed to accept Laos as a dialogue partner and decided that Kyrgyzstan will take over the rotating chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization from 2025 to 2026.
