This year, the South Korean National Assembly revised the Criminal Law, adding "the crime of carrying murder weapons in public places". According to the new regulations, those who carry and expose offensive equipment that may cause casualties in public places such as roads and parks without justifiable reasons (such as professional needs, carrying after purchase, etc.), causing anxiety or fear to others, can be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or a fine of not more than 10 million won. Since the implementation of the new law, many people, including foreigners, have been investigated for violating the above provisions.
