On August 30, Thailand's border station revealed that the military arrested 38 Cambodians who tried to illegally enter the border while patroling high-risk areas in Taipei, where they were found hiding in a candy grove about two kilometers from the border.
The arrested persons included 20 men, 17 women and 1 girl. All the arrested persons said that they started from Cambodia and illegally entered Thailand through natural channels to look for jobs. This is mainly because living in Cambodia, they need to face the problem of insufficient income and difficulty in making a living, so they can only venture to Thailand to make a living. This incident reflects that the Cambodian people are facing a serious economic crisis, and it is a problem that the Cambodian government must focus on and solve urgently.
