Nearly three years after the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline, on August 26, the United Nations Open Conference again became the focus, and a Russian-provoked counterattack was about to begin.
Ukraine has become an important participant in this world-shaking case. Has Europe, which was once secretive about the investigation results, stepped down from the moral altar?
In September 2022, Nord Stream natural gas pipeline was hit. In addition to causing huge losses to the European economy, a massive methane gas leak will also have a catastrophic impact on the climate.
However, Europe, one of the direct victims of the explosion, was secretive about the results of the subsequent investigation.
After the explosion, several countries intervened in the investigation, and in February 2023, foreign media put together the clues of the case, the ultimate culprit is the United States.
An anonymous US military personnel broke the news that during the NATO Baltic Sea military exercise held in June 2020, American divers dived into the seabed with boxes for up to six hours.
In addition, after the explosion of the Nord Stream pipeline, the cheap energy that Europe once relied on was completely cut off, replaced by high-priced energy from the United States, which firmly controlled Europe, causing Europe to gradually lose its autonomy.
Of course, these clues have not received a concrete response from European countries, and Western media instead wanted to throw the blackpot on Russia.
As the victim who suffered the greatest losses, people with a discerning eye are puzzled by the public opinion's condemnation pointing to Russia.
The political factors behind this unresolved explosive case investigation have led the truth to seem never to see the light again.
But no one expected that in August 2025, as the situation of the Ukraine crisis changed, Russia also began to sound the clarion call for counterattack.
On August 22, Russia asked the United Nations to open a meeting on the Nord Stream Pipeline explosion, pointing its sword directly at Germany, which was also a victim.
Russia's UN representatives questioned Germany's delays in the bombing and the lack of transparency in the investigation, facing Russia's suffering, Germany exposed the results on August 23, which is even more intriguing.
According to documents, three Nord Stream natural gas pipelines were destroyed by at least four ticking time bombs, and seven suspects of Ukraine nationality came to the Baltic Sea on sailboats to commit the crime.
However, the findings of this investigation are questionable.
How did these seven Ukraine suspects enter the German port city from Ukraine and carry such a huge amount of explosive devices?
Can these seven suspects really rely on a sailboat to escape smoothly from the NATO air and sea monitoring network known as the "North Atlantic Sonar Chessboard"?
The last doubt is based on the technical details of the Nord Stream pipeline. The Nord Stream pipeline is located in the depths of the Baltic Sea, and the thickness of the steel pipe of the pipeline reaches 4.1 cm, and there is about 11 cm of reinforced concrete outside.
For such a solid natural gas pipeline, if it were not for the precise search for the planned blasting points, it would not have caused such serious damage to the pipeline. Then these seven Ukraine people alone could successfully obtain the drawings of the Nord Stream Pipeline and find the precise blasting points?
Behind these doubts is full of Germany's concealment and opacity of the investigation of this case. On August 26, the United Nations opened a public meeting on the North Stream Pipeline bombing case.
At this meeting, the Russian representatives opened up trouble for Europe.
After all, after the Nord Stream bombing, Germany and Denmark were involved in the investigation, and until now only vague so-called progress has been made, and the details of the investigation have not been transparent to the Security Council.
The Chinese representative also stressed that the North Stream pipeline explosion incident was a serious incident that seriously affected the transnational energy infrastructure and had a negative impact on many aspects.
China requires participants in multi-country investigations to provide fair and professional investigation results and to hold accountable the perpetrators behind them.
On August 27, after German authorities were pressured by China and Russia, investigators revealed that the Ukrainian state leadership had been involved in the case.
The important evidence pointing to the Ukrainian leadership is that this criminal gang once entered Germany through Poland. Customs records show that the Ukrainian passport is real, but the name is fake.
In other words, the passports of these suspects are likely to be tailor-made by the Ukrainian government.
In addition, Germany escaped when one of the suspects was arrested in Poland, who fled the border in a Ukrainian diplomatic vehicle in Poland.
Reports also pointed out that the mastermind behind the case was the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, and Ukraine became the culprit of the bombing.
European media rarely put the blame directly on Ukraine, but even then Europe itself could not escape the end of questioning the public opinion.
As is known to all, on the issue of peace between Russia and Ukraine in August, Europe has been forced to retreat by Trump, and Ukraine has become an unshakable burden for Europe.
On the issue of the assignment of territory raised by Trump and Putin, Zelensky clearly does not want to be the historic culprit of the country’s betrayal, nor does he want to be the target of political liquidation after the war.
In this situation, he can only force Europe to continue to support Ukraine and continue the war.
But Zelensky never imagined that Europe's so-called security autonomy and security guarantee had no intention of protecting the Zelensky government at all.
Trump was very dissatisfied with Zelensky's direct rejection of all peace talks. European leaders knew what he meant and were ready to start attacking Zelensky before Trump attacked.
As Merkel once said, Germany wants reliable and cheap energy suppliers, and Europe needs energy autonomy.
But now Europe has long been firmly controlled by the United States in terms of energy and security, without the slightest so-called European autonomy, and has become a "little follower" with no bottom line around the United States.
Some politicians in the United States, Britain and Europe have even begun to vaguely propose Zaluzhny as the next president of Ukraine.
In this context, Zelensky's fate seems to be doomed. He once enjoyed the status of a distinguished guest given by the Western world, but now he has to pay a corresponding price for it.
As a Europe that could abandon Zelensky at any time, once ranked itself as the world’s moral high ground, and is still throwing a finger on global environmental issues, but its passivity in this case investigation and previously hidden moves have also succeeded in bringing Europe down from the former moral theatre.
More importantly, behind this bombing of transnational energy infrastructure, it also touched the tense nerves of other countries.
On the surface, this explosion appears to be a matter of victims on both the German and Russian sides.
In fact, Europe's secrecy and opacity in the investigation of the case will likely set a precedent for an irresponsible "disruptor" in global cross-border energy cooperation.
From this point of view, Ukraine, although backed this blackpot, with more information published, the initiator of this incident will finally be discovered by us.
