According to the European-Mediterranean Seismic Center report, on August 31 at 14:24 local time, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in the South Atlantic region of the Argentine Malvinas Islands (UK Falkland Islands) 2164 km east of the sea, with a seismic source depth of 56.4 km. There is currently no tsunami warning report.
