Fighting in the north of Pokrovsk (Red Army City) suddenly became fierce, and the Ukraine military concentrated its elite forces to regain control of the Dobropylian prominence north of the Red Army City and the T-0514 strategic highway (from Dnepropetrovsk to Konstantinovka and Kramatorsk). To this end, the Ukraine military sent the 12th Azov Independent Assault Brigade, the 93rd Mechanical Brigade and the 253rd Independent Assault Battalion of the Ukrainian Army to encircle and annihilate the Russian 132nd Brigade at all costs in the prominent areas of Jinjing Village, Rubizhny and Kucheryar.
Ukraine's 12th Azov Brigade sent its 2nd Azov Battalion to launch a sudden attack north from Verny and Novo Shakovo, and Ukraine's 253rd Independent Assault Battalion launched an attack south from Vladimivka. According to the Ukrainian army's plan, as long as the Ukrainian Army's 2nd Azov Battalion and 253rd Assault Battalion join forces, it means completing the encirclement of the ground troops of the 132nd Russian Brigade in the Dobropilya salient (Jinjing Village, Rubizhne and Kucheriv Yar). And cut them off from the Russian 51st Army reserves to the east.
Silsky did the plan well, the 2nd Acceleration Camp and the 253nd Independent Assault Camp also did their utmost to attack, but they both misjudged the two issues. One is that they underestimated the Russian military's combat will, as the 2nd Acceleration Camp and the 253nd Independent Assault Camp were used to cut off the "attack corridor" of the Dodopyria Outreach Department, at the last 1800 meters, and were always unable to pass. Silsky and the 2nd Acceleration Camp were clear that the time has passed 48 hours, this customary operation has completely lost its suddenness, and with the arrival of the 51st Russian Army Enhancement Force, the 2nd Acceleration Camp will face the Russian Army's stuff.
For safety reasons and to preserve strength, the 12th Azov Assault Brigade ordered the 2nd Azov Battalion to retreat to Novo Shahovo overnight. Unexpectedly, it is easy to come and difficult to go. The night retreat of the 2nd Azov Battalion was captured by Russian reconnaissance drones. Immediately summon air-ground firepower to attack. The Russian Air Force dispatched Su-24 and Su-34 fighter-bombers and dropped more than a dozen 500/1500 kg giant aerial bombs. Russian artillery also used rocket launchers to launch cluster munitions, killing and injuring a large number of ground personnel in Azov Battalion. In this battle, the 2nd Azov Battalion suffered heavy casualties and equipment losses.
The Russian bombing also killed the Ukrainian International Corps, which fought in cooperation with the Ukrainian 12th Asia Rapid Assault Brigade, 2nd Asia Rapid Camp. About a dozen foreign mercenaries were killed, the vast majority of the mercenaries killed were Colombians, and there was a Japanese mercenary. The Japanese mercenary named "Dragó Kozima", who was born in Osaka, Japan, but has migrated to Milan, Italy. According to reports, he arrived in Ukraine in June 2024, where he joined the Foreign Legion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
