Today morning, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived at Tianjin International Airport and will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit 2025, which will take place in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.

Turkey is a dialogue partner of the SCO. China and Turkey are both major developing countries and members of the "Global South", and share broad consensus in pursuing the development and revitalization of their respective countries and safeguarding the norms of international relations. China has become Turkey's second largest trading partner and Turkey's fastest growing source market for international tourists.
