On the early morning of August 31, Armenian Prime Minister Pashnyan arrived in Tianjin by plane to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.

In 2016, Armenia officially became a dialogue partner of the SCO and has maintained close interaction with the SCO under this framework. Armenia has now submitted an application to become a full member of the SCO.

This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Armenia. Over the past 33 years, the friendly relations in Central Asia have continued to develop steadily and healthily, and cooperation in various fields has continuously achieved new results.

After attending the SCO Summit in 2025, Armenian Prime Minister Pashnyan will also travel to Beijing to attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
