According to Indian media reports on August 30, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office,Adult movie star Kelly Page (born Kelly Pailant) has died from an accidental overdose of cocaine and fentanyl.Page died on June 25 and wasly found dead in his home in Los Angeles County.
Five days before her death, the 28-year-old actress's family and friends celebrated her successful 60-day sobriety. Despite Page's efforts to get rid of drugs, law enforcement officers found fentanyl, cocaine and drug tools in his Los Angeles County residence, and launched an investigation, which ultimately determined the cause of death.
After a friend requested a medical examination for him, authorities began searching for Page. Forensic doctors found no evidence of his killing, and ruled his death was accidental.According to the autopsy report, Page overdosed on cocaine and fentanyl before his death.
Ms. Page is known in the adult entertainment world for her energetic persona, having worked with production companies such as Brazzers and Vixen Media Group. She also starred in the 2017 Netflix miniseries DreamWorks: Addicted, in which she shared her experiences with substance abuse and working in the adult industry.
After Page’s death, family and friends started a fundraising campaign on the GoFundMe platform to raise her funeral costs and the cost of transporting the body from California back to Oklahoma. At the time of writing this article, the page had raised $21,000 to help her family through the hardships of sorrow.
“Kelly is a deeply loving daughter, a good sister who never let go, and a good friend who never appears... we lost her prematurely, and now her family is trying to bring her back from Midwestern California and let her rest in the circle of family and friends.”
Page’s death was the seventh adult film actor to die from drugs in three years, a number that sounded the alarm clock in the industry.
A study conducted by Dr. Corita Grudson at the Sloan-Catherine Cancer Center in commemoration suggests: “There is evidence that adult filmmakers, especially women, have higher rates of alcohol and drug use.”
Dr. Grudson said these actors often experienced problems such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, stress, self-humiliation, negative body image and suicidal thoughts.
