Officials from several European countries voiced their voices on August 30th, criticizing the U.S. government for refusing to issue visas to Palestinian President Abbas and other Palestinian personnel who were going to new york to attend the UN General Assembly.This was considered "unacceptable."¡£

According to Reuters,FRANCEDuring a meeting of the European Union in Copenhagen, Minister Barroso said that participation in the UN General Assembly ¡°should not be subject to any restrictions¡±.SpanishForeign Minister Alvarez said the US approach was ¡°unacceptable.¡±IrelandU.S. Foreign Minister Harris said the EU should protest the U.S. with ¡°the strongest phrase¡±.

Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez issued a statement saying thatThe US government¡¯s behavior is ¡°unfair.¡±"Palestine has the right to be heard at the United Nations and all international conferences," and he has expressed Spain's support to Abbas.

The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York in September. The US State Department issued a statement on the 29th saying,Secretary of State Rubio orders Palestinian officials visa applications to be rejected or cancelled¡£

The statement said the PLO and the PA had "undermined the prospects for peace" and that the US had made the decision out of "national security interests".

Israeli Foreign Minister Sal is pleased with the US decision.¡£ He thanked the Trump administration for "implementing bold measures and supporting Israel again".

After the outbreak of the conflict in Benelux in October 2023, Israel has been widely condemned by the international community for its military operations in the Gaza Strip, which have caused numerous Pakistani casualties and serious humanitarian disasters, and its main ally, the United States, has been supported politically and militarily.

Spain and Ireland respectively announced their recognition of the Palestinian state in May last year, and several Western countries, including France and Canada, plan to recognize the Palestinian state during the September session of the UN General Assembly.
