This evening (30th), Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Tianjin Binhai International Airport by plane to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.

China and India are both members of multilateral mechanisms such as BRICS, SCO and G20. The SCO is an important platform for multilateral cooperation between the two countries. China and India are important neighbors of each other, both big developing countries and emerging economies, and are at a critical stage of their respective development and revitalization. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. The Indian side has previously stated that it is willing to take this opportunity to deepen political mutual trust with China, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in economic and trade fields, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and jointly safeguard peace and tranquility in border areas.
