Myanmar Acting President Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Tianjin by plane to attend the 2025 SCO Summit

On the afternoon of August 30, Myanmar Acting President Min Aung Laing arrived in Tianjin by plane to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries. In recent years, China and Myanmar have continued to deepen cooperation in various fields, and China has been Myanmar’s largest trading partner for many years.

In March this year, the strong earthquake in Mandalay, Myanmar caused heavy casualties and property damage. Our country was the first to send relief forces to assist emergency humanitarian supplies and support Myanmar to rebuild its homeland.

After attending the SCO Summit in 2025, Myanmar Acting President Min Aung Hlaing will also travel to Beijing to attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
